MODELING CLAY PACKAGING MACHINE

Modeling clay and light clay packaging machine

Extrude, dose, wrap and twist in one pass. Screw extrusion paired with servo film feed keeps the rope diameter stable even with soft, sticky clay, and multi-colour sets can add lane splitting and stacking.

Series overview

MODELING CLAY PACKAGING MACHINE

Clay packaging is difficult because of the material itself: soft, sticky and springy, so any drift in extruded diameter shows up as loose or tight wraps. Qianjia pairs screw extrusion with servo-driven film to keep the two in step. Two extrusion diameters cover the mainstream formats — Φ30 mm for modelling clay sticks and small craft packs, Φ65 mm for large light-clay logs and heavy packs.

The line consists of the extruder, a cooling and sizing section, the wrapping section and the discharge. It can be laid out straight or in an L shape to suit the hall. For multi-colour sets, lane splitting and colour-sequenced stacking are added so a 12-colour set is stacked and wrapped in one pass, removing manual colour sorting.

12C 12-colour clay set machine
12C

12C 12-colour clay set machine

Lane splitting, colour-sequenced stacking and a single wrap; output calculated per set structure.

This model is built to the product and pack format, so the forming cavities and sealing section are defined after a sample trial. Please contact our engineers for the full data sheet.

Applications

WHERE IT RUNS

01Stationery and toys

12 and 24-colour sets stacked in colour order with a flat wrap face and clean colour boundaries.

02Light clay

Low-pressure extrusion and a short dwell in the wrapper keep springy, low-density clay from being compressed out of shape.

03DIY craft material

Shaped extrusion — square, star, cartoon sections — made to tooling for craft and teaching kits.

04OEM production

Changing the die head and film reel switches format on the same frame, which suits small batches.

Selection guide

WHAT TO DECIDE FIRST

  1. Fix the extrusion diameter

Φ30 mm and Φ65 mm serve different pack weights and set formats, and the diameter sets the film width downstream.

  2. Check material temperature

The extruder needs temperature control; drift in clay temperature shows up directly as diameter and weight deviation.

  3. Decide the colour count

Multi-colour sets need lane splitting and stacking. More colours means lower output, so calculate capacity from the actual set structure.

  4. Choose the film structure

PE, laminated and paper/PE cold-seal films each need a different sealing section and give a different look.

Frequently asked

FAQ

How is a 12-colour set produced?

Lane splitting feeds different colours to one stacking station, which layers them in colour order before a single wrap. Output falls as colours increase, so each set structure is calculated separately.

Does the clay temperature need control?

Yes. The extruder is temperature controlled; only a stable temperature keeps diameter and pack weight consistent.

Can it run paper packaging?

Yes, with paper/PE laminated film and cold sealing, which suits stationery lines with an environmental focus.

How long does a colour change take?

Normally 1–2 hours depending on the number of colours and the screw design. Running one colour family in sequence is recommended.

Can it connect to kneading and rolling?

Yes. A full line can include kneading, rolling, cooling and packaging, with the main PLC pacing all four.

Need it built around your product?

Send sample photos, film structure and target output. Our engineering team handles tooling, non-standard structures and full-line layout.
