Series overview

PAPER FOOD CONTAINER MACHINE

Paper food containers are the core consumable of takeaway and central kitchens, and the box style dictates the machine architecture. The series splits into four: QJ-B and QJ-C handle single and standard multi-compartment boxes on a 240 mm paper width and share tooling interfaces; QJ-D is built for four and five-compartment trays with a larger heated platen; QJ-H forms 3D folded boxes with an edge seal up to 200 mm.

All four use heated forming and pneumatic edge folding, with the box size set by the tooling. QJ-B and QJ-C run at 40–50 pcs/min for mid-volume takeaway supply, QJ-D produces compartment trays at 15–40 pcs/min, and QJ-H reaches 160 pcs/min for volume production of 3D boxes.

Applications

WHERE IT RUNS

01Takeaway chains

Single and multi-compartment meal boxes with a flat rim that suits lidding film and bagging.

02Central kitchens

Large compartment trays formed in one stroke, keeping sauces separate during bulk delivery.

03Bakery and deli

3D folded boxes for cakes, cooked food and salads — crisp corners and good stacking strength.

04Disposable tableware plants

One machine, several tools: switch formats by order and cut the number of machines needed.

Selection guide

WHAT TO DECIDE FIRST

  1. Start from the box structure

Single, multi-compartment and 3D folded boxes map to different models; the box is the first constraint.

  2. Check the paper width

Paper width caps the largest blank: 240 mm on QJ-B/C, wider formats need another model.

  3. Balance output and changeover

Multiple tools cover several boxes, but each change costs 1–2 hours, which matters for small batches.

  4. Plan the downstream

Automatic stacking, bagging or cartoning decides the discharge height and interface.

Frequently asked

FAQ

How many box styles can one machine make?

As many as you have tooling for, within the fixed paper width. Most customers pick the model for their main box and add one or two spare tools.

Does the board need coating?

Yes for food contact with liquid: 100–400 g/m² PE coated board is standard. Dry products can use uncoated board.

What do tools cost and how long do they take?

Tooling is made to the box drawing, normally 15–25 days; multi-cavity tools take a little longer.

Can it link to an automatic line?

Yes. The discharge end has interfaces for conveyors, baggers and cartoners.

Power and air?

380 V/50 Hz and 0.2–0.5 MPa air; the compressor is supplied by the customer.

Need it built around your product?

Send sample photos, film structure and target output. Our engineering team handles tooling, non-standard structures and full-line layout.
